Harakeke Coat Stand

The Harakeke coat stand is an absolute masterpiece, a collaboration between Città and internationally renowned product designer Jamie McLellan. The design takes its inspiration from the flower stalks of New Zealand’s native harakeke plant. 

In this interpretation, the stand gracefully unfurls into five alternating hooks.

During the design process, Jamie McLellan explored how harakeke flowers naturally branch away from the main stem—a detail celebrated in the coat stand’s distinctive wood joints. These flowing connections reveal the interacting grain, showcasing the natural beauty of timber craftsmanship.

Made in solid Oak, solid Walnut or solid ash in a black or flax green matte laquer.

The upright stem seamlessly plugs into a sculpted base plate and is secured with a bolt for strength and elegance.
